Oral Surgery - The do's and don'ts....:

Oral dentistry refers not only to the treatment but also to the diagnosis of injuries and diseases related to the function and aesthetics of the mouth and surrounding tissues of the head. Oral surgery can mean minor or major procedures.


They can generally be carried out as you sit in the dentist’s chair.Some common treatments performed by dental surgeons include apicoectomy (the root tip of a tooth is removed and the resulting cavity refilled),correcting the jaw, anesthesia administration, bone grafts, bone tissue surgery, facial trauma treatment, dental implants, wisdom teeth removal and treatment of TMJD (inflammation in the joint which connects the mandible and the skull).


This type of treatment is carried out by oral surgeons, who are typically known as €oral and maxillofacial surgeons’ in some parts of the world, such as Europe. Read more at the above link:
