Facebook's New Dislike Button: Like or Dislike? [Poll]

Over the years, Facebook has done a really great job of proving its ability to really understand its audience.

You know, like that time Facebook enabled GIFs? Or what about that time when it gave us more control over what we see in our News Feeds? (You get me, Mark Zuckerberg. You really get me.)

While we commend Facebook for its commitment to our wants and needs as loyal users, there’s one thing that’s always been missing: the Dislike button. After all, we can’t be expected to like everything all the time, right?

Well, after years of refusal, Facebook announced today that the sought after Dislike button is finally in the works.

What they really want is the ability to express empathy. Not every moment is a good moment,” explained Zuckerberg.

While an official release date has yet to be announced, rest easy knowing that you’ll soon be able to dislike that insensitive comment one of your old high school acquaintances made or thumbs down status in which your friend used the wrong from of their … among other instances, of course.

What do you think about Facebook’s new Dislike button?

We’re excited about the update, but we want to hear from you. Share you thoughts on the new feature through the poll below (Note: it may take a moment to load):
